September 2009

I hope everyone has enjoyed the Summer. Now that September has arrived
it's time to tell you about what's been happening at SNDI.

FrogsAreGreen.com
Since the launch of this blog in May 2009, we have written about various types of frogs, the different frog loving people and places where frogs are in decline or are abundant due to record rainfall. Some of our posts include: great books and DVDs, Frog Lover: Wangari Maathai, The Prince's Rainforests Project, and The Frog Summit in London.

We're having a Frog photo contest, and so far 25 photographers are competing from around the world. We will be selecting the winner on Sept. 15. Check out the amazing gallery images.

We're designing and selling t-shirts, and are donating the proceeds to our favorite organizations.

We've also created a Facebook cause page to make it easy for people to show they care. Please read our blog and feel free to comment at: FrogsAreGreen.com

Rising Tide Capital
I recently designed a brochure for Rising Tide Capital, a non-profit organization based in Jersey City, NJ.

I had the pleasure of meeting Alfa Demmellash, co-founder, at the Everything Jersey City Festival this past May.

President Barack Obama (YouTube video) spoke recently about Alfa and RTC at the White House on June, 30, 2009.

Alfa has also been selected as a CNN hero.

Blades & Goven
I have been engaged to design a database-driven website for this landscape architecture company based in Connecticut. From single-family residences and helping develop communities, to high schools and universities, the galleries will amaze.

This site is in development, look for it to launch soon.

Zeemp.com
This company, based in Brazil, and founded in April 2009 puts together a creative map to help people find what's available. Have a look at: www.Zeemp.com

I have been selected as one of the top web design firms from around the world, according to Zeemp.com.

Hudson Theatre Ensemble
Goldilocks and the Three Bears, a silly and zany version, is coming to Hoboken by the Hudson Theatre Ensemble in October.

Cat & Moon Productions
A Solid Wheel of Colored Ribbons by Thorsten Kaye, illustrated by Tami Evans Foster. Having designed the book, I attended a book signing party this summer in Hoboken at Trinity restaurant. It was wonderful meeting Thorsten, Tami, and all the guests.... and of course celebrating the book's success with the publishers!
