Wanting to do our part (as President Obama has reminded us), we have always been attracted to organizations and green initiatives that will help our planet.
We have donated our design work to various organizations, including the Hoboken 9/11 Memorial Committee, Hoboken Jubilee Center for Children, The Central Avenue Special Improvement District (NJ), Actors Shakespeare Company at New Jersey City University, Hudson Theatre Ensemble, Chameleon Theatre Company Ltd. and most recently, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, central and south Jersey for an event on Friday, May 20, 2011.
In April 2009, with Mary Jo Rhodes, author of nature books, we founded FROGS ARE GREEN LLC, with which we hope to increase awareness about the massive worldwide amphibian decline (up to one-third of species are threatened with extinction). Because frogs are an indicator species of a healthy environment, we also hope to spread the message that healthy frogs mean a healthy planet for all.
